The Wellness Way is founded on the philosophy that when properly cared for on an individual level, the human body can restore its natural ability to heal.
My health journey proves it’s possible.
I grew up in a chiropractic family where chiropractic care was used to help people find answers and wellness—including me!
Through my personal and clinical experiences, I have seen first-hand how chronic inflammation, food allergies, stress, and environmental toxins disrupt the body’s natural ability to heal.
And I have witnessed the incredible changes that happen when you gain a deep understanding of how your unique body functions.
Gaining back control of my own health, I found a passion for helping patients like you do the same. A new life chapter of vitality and restored health is a possibility. Just look at my story.
And got stronger with every health obstacle I overcame. Along the way, I learned lessons that would shape how I treat my patients.
I was stuck under my mom's pelvis and was born completely blue. Being a chiropractor, my dad adjusted a bone in my neck called the atlas, and I started breathing.
I was only a 2 on the Apgar score, but it was a breath of life, a start that kickstarted a long journey to restored health.
Growing up, I suffered from bronchitis, sports-induced asthma, and achy joints. I faced a future dependent on an inhaler, until my father met a chiropractor who integrated food allergies into their practice.
We learned I had an allergy to gluten, eggs, beef, and oysters. Within days, my cough completely disappeared, I lost 18 pounds in two weeks, and my joint pain went away.
From my first period, the pain was so severe I would scream and pray that I would pass out. I was put on the birth control pill and simply lived with tolerable pain and irregular periods.
It wasn't until chiropractic school that I learned that painful periods were due to inflammation and triggers could include gut microbiome issues, adrenal issues, and other hormone imbalances. Which taught me my next lesson.
I suffered from period pain and hormone imbalance for years because my doctors never tested my hormones. They never figured out why I had the pain. They never looked for triggers. They just gave me the pill.
And I accepted it because, at the time, I didn't know what else to do. With all the issues I had been facing for years, I was ready to do anything to not let my period control my life.
It is important to look at your 3T's—inflammatory triggers. Testing my stool, updating my food allergies, and comprehensive blood work showed me I had candida overgrowth, blood sugar dysregulation, and adrenal dysfunction.
Diet, lifestyle changes, and supplements helped my periods become regular and painless. I came off the pill, and the symptoms disappeared.

In 2017, we adopted our furbaby, Meekah! She is a gorgeous, Siberian Husky! Meekah moved to Ireland with us, and I adjusted her by a vet chiropractor monthly! I am even considering getting my animal chiropractic degree!
I can't tell you how many times I have sprained and rolled my ankles or got whiplash from taking headers! Because of all my soccer injuries, I learned to adjust feet and ankles to help support my sports-loving patients.
I have had to learn how to eat savory foods for breakfast and to think differently when it comes to prepping meals! I love to take a recipe and make it allergy friendly and show family and friends how simple clean eating can be!
I studied abroad in Costa Rica at University, took my MCAT in Canada, and lived and worked in Ireland for five years! I want to see the world and experience different cultures! I travel whenever I can!
I helped start the Wellness Way student program at Palmer College of Chiropractic-Davenport. Once I graduated from chiropractic school, I started helping patients from the United States to Ireland, Japan to Australia, and in between!
I helped publish research on brain-computer interfaces with stroke and MS patients. After graduation, I worked as an EKG tech in a hospital, interacting with patients in the ER daily. So many would come in for neck and back pain, and just receive medications. I kept thinking, ‘Have you tried chiropractic?’ and now here I am: a chiropractor helping patients enjoy less pain and a better quality of life!
